DOCQ has again been successful in receiving a grant from the TMR to conduct subsidised rider training, this year for up to 100 people, in partnership with Streetwise Rider Training and John Burns.
We have now been able to finalise five dates for that training which are:
1. Saturday 12 July 2025 - Road course, Mt Cotton;
2. Friday 18 July 2025 - Coaching/set up day, Queensland Raceway;
3. Sunday 24 August 2025 - Road/dirt trail course, Mt Cotton;
4. Friday 19 September 2025 - Coaching/set up day, Queensland Raceway;
5. Thursday 9 October 2025 - Coaching/set up day, Morgan Park Raceway.
These are full day courses and thanks to the TMR grant, the subsidised cost will only be $225.00 per rider for the full day (which includes lunch and morning/afternoon tea). DOCQ members are eligible to claim an additional $50.00 rebate for any one course by sending their receipt and confirmation of course attendance (with bank details) to: president@docq.com.au.
There are three types of courses - a pure road course for road bikes and a combined/road mild dirt trail course at Mount Cotton and coaching/set up days at Queensland Raceway and Morgan Park (please check with your insurer to determine whether your bike is covered for track based events).
Bookings are to be made through John Burns at Streetwise.
Thanks go to TMR for their funding of this initiative. These courses cater for any rider from beginner to advanced level and the club encourages you to take this opportunity to continue your journey to becoming a better rider or refreshing your skills. These courses are open to the public so get in quickly to make your booking. Depending on numbers, there may be an additional course later in the year or early next year.

Come and join us at RBM Racing, Geebung. Gary has agreed to be our host and will have plenty of Ducati‘s for us to look at. Come armed with your best service or maintenance question. As always we will have the BBQ on with the smell of sausages and onions wafting across the carpark. This is a great social environment to catch up with fellow members and chew the fat.

"The first of the DOCQ Adventure rides - You don’t have to have Paris - Dakar experience. Multistrada‘s and similar machines will be more than capable of handling this introductory course.
