DOCQ is celebrating all the "red bikes" with an overnight ride around the South Burnett. The ride is a celebration of the belt and chain Ducatis and is open to all colours (including the yellow, black, blue, grey and other colour Ducatis) and types of Ducati (Bevels are welcome!). Your bike doesn‘t even have to be a Ducati to come along! The basic ride route is as follows: Day 1: Leaving from Samford, we will ride to Goomeri via Esk, Crows Nest, the Bunya Mountains (lunch stop), Kingaroy and the Burnett Wine region. Day 2: Boat Mountain, Cloyna Road, Burnett Highway, Tansey Range Road, Upper Widgee, Gympie (lunch) and returning home via the Mary Valley Scenic Route. Detailed ride instructions will be provided before the ride. Accommodation: arrange your own at either Joe‘s Grand Hotel or the Goomeri Motel. The Ray Owen Classic Bike Show & Swap Meet is being held at Canungra Showgrounds on Sunday 26 May 2024. It‘s always a great day and the Tamborine Chapter of the HMCCQ put on a good show. A number of our members display their bikes in the official show. We have been invited to take part with a club display and it would be good to fly the DOCQ flag, shoot the breeze with fellow bikers, see some great bikes and even sell some merchandise. The standard entry fee this year is $20.
